I have devoted my entire professional career, over 4 decades, to the pursuit of compassionate and caring public policy. I have served two U.S. Presidents, two U.S. Senators, two prominent Governors, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, and have worked for the Screen Actors Guild as their national director for government relations.
I have also worked as the state director in CA for two campaigns over the past several years: Gasland Grassroots, to promote anti-fracking efforts here in the state; and the Citizens Trade Campaign to galvanize opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership.
In addition, I am Vice-President of the Malibu Democratic Club, President of the Malibu Adamson House Foundation, a board member of the Southern California chapter of the Americans for Democratic Action, and a member of the Board of Advisors for Vote Riders, a national organization to ensure all Americans the right to vote and to fight against repressive voter identification laws.
I am a writer and have authored two books: The Evolution of a Revolution: An Attack upon Reason, Compromise, and the Constitution; and Fracktured, the definitive anti-fracking novel. I am also a regulator contributor to Huffington Post, where I have published over 180 articles over the past eight years, and the LA Progressive Magazine and numerous newspapers, journals and magazines.
I am also the political editor for the Local Malibu newspaper.
I was one of Al Gore's initial climate change messengers and have delivered over 100 presentations worldwide on climate change.
I wish to continue to remain active in politics at the local level in order leave the world a better place for my kids and yours.
